I'm with Broussard. It feels like people think the game of football has been "reinvented". Taking a relatively easy 3 pts used to be "conventional wisdom". Running the ball when you get a 1st or 2nd & goal at the 1 or 2 yard line is another example. Chargers missed a great opportunity to beat the Chiefs.
You take the 3 pts and then Mahomes scores a touchdown. You can't beat Mahomes, Brady and Rodgers with field goals. The coaches didn't have the right plays designed for redzone moments.
@@pilotjm817 Since you decided to mention Brady [the overrated one] in your post I though I'd look up his SB defeats. So of course I thought of the Giants right away. In the 2 SB's where they beat Brady they kicked FG's of 32, 33, & 38 yards & they were 1 of 1 on 4th downs. As to the Chiefs/Mahomes; it turns out that they have attempted 25 FG's this season & they also punted 33 times & they fumbled 20 times & PM has thrown 13 INT's. So it seems that they don't always score TD's. In fact; if you look at the Chiefs losses this season, you might notice that their opponents did kick FG's & PM scored 0, 7, 7, & 0 points in the 4th quarters of those games.
If they would have kicked two field goals they would have won and would have been able to have a possibility to pick up a 2 point conversion... And won with the final score that Kansas City won in overtime. Kick the field goal the 1st drive

We don't want to hear Analytics a win is a win and a loss is a loss we all know who is the best team clearly the Kansas City Chiefs own the AFC West in Showtime We Trust
analitics do take into account maholmes missing that throw, if there was a scale inside the percentage of how likely things are to happen, that's probably at the bottom, with maholmes walking in because 1 of the defensive linemen trip and fall at the top. This things are accounted for and are with in a percent. If your play works 55% or even 51% of he time, you should go for it since even if it's a coinflip, it's in your favour; you obviously want to go for the highest percent play you can, and weight in the gain and consequences you can get into the result, but just because it's close doesnt mean is wrong.
We're still calling Mahomes the best in the league? Also is "the world's most notorious assaain" Travis Kelce? 'Cause that's the only way that statement makes sense. Still untrue, I know a guy who's far more infamous.
If he’s keep doing it he will eventually lose the locker room this guy talking like quick win, there is no quick win it’s not sudden death it’s 60 minutes game long his analogy is get rich quick or die trying it.
Doesn't matter what these people are saying, Brandon Staley is an idiot. The media refuse to criticize him because they were gaga about him when he first took the job. They already put him in Canton and called him a Great coach after 5 games. So now they don't want to criticize him because that would mean they admit they are wrong. As for Nick, he refuse to criticize the decisions because if he does it would mean the Chiefs would lose that game. Nick will never ever say anything or admit to anything that will imply the Chiefs are not that good or dominant. The offense struggled last night despite the scores. The scores don't tell the whole story. Mahomes was not good last night. Had the Chargers took those points, the Chargers would have won. I wonder how many more years Staley would have before he got fired. However, because Herbert is so great that he would be able to cover much of the terrible coaching and they would be making the playoffs. That would keep Staley on the job for much longer than he deserves. By my count, the Chargers lost 3 games this season because Staley went for it instead of kicking the field goals. That is inexcusable. The young coaches nowaday are trying so hard to wow people. They want everyone to think how smart they are. They are being too cute with all their risk taking and going for it. At the end of the day, they look like idiots in the eyes of fans. This is why coaches like Belichick chew them up and spit them out like nothing.
Pretty sure the chargers beat the chiefs in their first game because of their aggressiveness to convert 4th downs and not settle and just give the ball back to mahomes. Analytics aren’t 100% but they are the most likely way to be successful so going with the most likely way to win is not a bad decision even if it happens to not work sometimes
The others i'm like i can understand, but that last one before the end of half was just stupid. Go in at half up by 7. If chiefs come out and score, ok you back to level and you get the ball back. If they don't, you up by 7 and get the ball back. Either way you have an advantage after half.

Is Nick the new Brandon? Stop cutting people off..
Nick's take is A-1
If they would have kicked two field goals they would have won and would have been able to have a possibility to pick up a 2 point conversion...
And won with the final score that Kansas City won in overtime.
Kick the field goal the 1st drive
So kow they are supposed to kick the 4th downs they know they wont convert and go for it on the 4th downs they k ow they will convert?!?! Lmao being able to tell the future part of a head coaches requirements
Broussard just sitting there alone on screen at 8:22 looking like the kid on the stairs in those old domestic abuse commercials...."Dinner ready is a pizza???"
They do keep per team analytics, so I hope the Chargers would know how good the Chiefs have been stopping teams on 4th down. In addition, the Chargers are around 50% on the road for the year. I would take the points. Those chip-shot kicks are like 90%.
More like 99%+
50% of 7 is equal to 3.5 points
90% of 3 is equal to 2.7 points
If those are the true odds of converting you should definitely go for it
@@nathanwasson6840 It's 50% to make it on fourth down, not get 7 points. Go back to class and study something you're good at.
@@dskwared2u610 there were 4th and goal plays, its ok if you don't understand. Everyone is good at different things
We don't want to hear Analytics a win is a win and a loss is a loss we all know who is the best team clearly the Kansas City Chiefs own the AFC West in Showtime We Trust
Jenna is invisible
Anyone else sick of nick acting like his cheifs are invincible?
They're not invincible!!! They know how to win big games when they need to
Nick gonna just pretend that’s how the chiefs wanted that game to go & everything was fine
Keep fighting the power NIck!
analitics do take into account maholmes missing that throw, if there was a scale inside the percentage of how likely things are to happen, that's probably at the bottom, with maholmes walking in because 1 of the defensive linemen trip and fall at the top.
This is a classic example of how most NFL games are lost, not won.
Exactly. Ask the Seahawks
Jared Cook didn’t drop that Herbert over threw him
You know i can't be the quarterbacks fault.
Kingsbury made the same mistake Monday night against Rams. Cards could have played for the FG to win instead of TD to tie.
11:11 who Travis kelce?
Camera work as great on this lol
🤣😂🤣
I peeped that
Pretty sure the chargers beat the chiefs in their first game because of their aggressiveness to convert 4th downs and not settle and just give the ball back to mahomes.
I’m old fashioned takes the point kick the field goal give yourself a chance to win later especially when you already have failed on 4th once or twice, stubborn decision making
If everyone thought like Broussard, the 3 point shot would not be the most consistent, necessary, and dominating NBA weapon it is today.
This show is getting harder to watch nick constantly talking over everyone is childish and reminds me of when Brandon was on
I agree, but he did have good points.
Something happens to coaches for the chargers. Some sort of competency vampire or something
